Freeview in 740i '96

Now that analogue has been switched off I want to know exactly how I can have Freeview rigged up in my car through the in car monitor. Please tell me how.....how much roughly as well, cheers.....

Or, I have seen normal set to boxes used with IR extenders (or jusr resolder the IR sensor on longer wires and position in the car yourself). You just need to go to maplin and either get a power supply to run it from 12v or a 12-240v converter (they don't pull too much current) The biggest problem is the reception, but lots can be done with a signal booster. Remember something like the kit above is, at the end of the day, a re-packaged version of a set to box anyhow. If you have some AV skills you will be fine sorting a DIY solution.

well there is an out fit that makes a freeview box that is a stright swop with the original part but last time i looked it was a wopping 360 quid. look for your self at www.pegasussl.co.uk. i,ve looked in the scrap yards for a bent 7 but the one i found had been rearended an typical luck, the box was mashed!
